Unlike mixed models for repeated measures (MMRMs), which estimate treatment effects as linear combinations of additive effects on the outcome scale, PMRMs characterize treatment effects in terms of the underlying disease trajectory. This framing yields clinically interpretable quantities such as average time saved and percent reduction in decline due to treatment. This package implements frequentist PMRMs by Raket (2022) using 'RTMB' by Kristensen (2016) . authors: - family-names: Landau given-names: William Michael email: will.landau.oss@gmail.com orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1878-3253 - family-names: Raket given-names: Lars Lau email: larslau.raket@lilly.com orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7099-2314 - family-names: Kristensen given-names: Kasper email: kaskr@dtu.dk orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3425-3762 preferred-citation: type: generic title: Progression Models for Repeated Measures authors: - family-names: Landau given-names: William Michael email: will.landau.oss@gmail.com orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1878-3253 - family-names: Raket given-names: Lars Lau email: larslau.raket@lilly.com orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7099-2314 - family-names: Kristensen given-names: Kasper email: kaskr@dtu.dk orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3425-3762 year: '2026' notes: R package doi: 10.32614/CRAN.package.pmrm url: https://openpharma.github.io/pmrm/ repository: https://openpharma.r-universe.dev repository-code: https://github.com/openpharma/pmrm commit: 05b3fd1307dd4fd9693112be2d7ce00e2b1e148f url: https://openpharma.github.io/pmrm/ date-released: '2026-04-03' contact: - family-names: Landau given-names: William Michael email: will.landau.oss@gmail.com orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1878-3253 references: - type: article title: 'Progression models for repeated measures: Estimating novel treatment effects in progressive diseases' authors: - family-names: Raket given-names: Lars Lau email: larslau.raket@lilly.com orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7099-2314 journal: Statistics in Medicine year: '2022' volume: '41' issue: '28' doi: 10.1002/sim.9581 url: https://doi.org/10.1002/sim.9581 start: 5537-5557
